Matt Muse
Creative Technologies Director · London
Don’t shout for attention. Earn it with something fun.
I love gaming and tech, and most of all I love making ads people can actually interact with. Attention is a premium now and nobody wants to be shouted at from TVs and billboards. I make work people choose to spend time with.

2024 · AI personalised video
Snickers × José Mourinho
Snickers (Mars)
My role: Helped develop the idea, designed the tech stack, built the early prototypes and led the build from the agency side. I came up with the name too.
The Special One-to-Ones. An AI clone of José Mourinho that gave football fans their own personal team talk, made on demand through a web app and WhatsApp.
I helped shape the idea, designed the tech stack, built the early prototypes and led the build from the agency side. Voice cloning, lip sync and a GPT-powered script engine, all wrapped in serious guardrails so Mourinho stayed on brand.
Built from scratch in 15 weeks. It made around 10,000 personalised films, and most fans who made one came back for more.

2017 · Sponsored face filter
Paddington 2 Face Filter
StudioCanal × Facebook · FullSix
My first face filter, and one of the first sponsored filters on Facebook.
We used the 3D assets from the film itself, which were far too heavy for a phone. I guided the studio on how to cut them down, then made them stick to people's faces.
Families loved it. Mine especially.
Then: One of the first branded filters on Facebook. Now: AR filters are a standard media buy.
2017 · Alexa skill
Pernod Ricard Cocktail Skill
Pernod Ricard · FullSix
I spent ten years as a cocktail bartender before advertising, so this one was a treat.
The job was to take everything I knew about steering people to a cocktail they'd love, whatever they knew about drinks, and put it into an Alexa skill.
If I could tell my sci-fi loving ten-year-old self about it, I think he'd burst.
Then: Alexa had only just arrived in UK homes. Now: Conversational AI is in every pocket.
2017 · Facial recognition experience
Absolut Nothing To Hide
Absolut · FullSix
One of my first big projects at FullSix: the digital extension of Absolut's Nothing To Hide campaign.
We built a facial recognition experience that read your reaction to the nudity in the film and told you how British or Swedish you were. Then it nudged you into a competition to win a trip to Sweden and the Absolut distillery.
I worked with a UI/UX designer, a graphic designer and front and back end developers to bring the concept to life.
Then: Reading faces through a webcam in a browser. Now: Face tracking is built into every phone.
2016 · Gigapixel photography
Bentley Gigapixel
Bentley Motors · Keko
I worked almost entirely on Bentley during my years at Keko, starting on tactical briefs and leaving as a senior leading the digital creative on global campaigns.
Gigapixel was the highlight. We shot the new Mulsanne EWB on the Golden Gate Bridge with the same kind of camera technology NASA used on the Mars Rover, so you could go from the whole panorama right down to intricate detail.
It worked so well that Bentley ran a second Gigapixel shoot for the Flying Spur at Dubai Marina.
Then: Billion-pixel images needed NASA-grade kit. Now: Ultra-zoomable product imagery is expected.
